Creating the Creation

A Week in July & August 2007

All week the kids (and many others) worked very hard.  The lines were repeated over and over again.  Songs sung from start to end, from middle to end and from end to start . . .until all was right!  The animals marched forward and then back and then forward again. 

What was the ultimate goal?  A perfect (or near perfect) performance of Dick Lakey's "In the Beginning."  The musical is a fanciful rendition of the story of God's creation of the universe.  With only one week to prepare for the Sunday night performance, hard work on the fast-moving production was essential.

By the end of the week of, everyone was looking forward to the big moment when family and friends will see and hear the result of all the practice and hard work.
