Harvest Home Sunday

St. Mark's celebrated Harvest Home Sunday on October 14, 2007.  The congregation celebrated a day of Thanksgiving by bringing nonperishable items for the local Food Pantry.  During the normal offering time, all present processed to the front of the church to place canned, dried and jarred food items on the altar.

Harvest Home is a special time to thank God for the abundance he gives us and to thank the farmers for their hard work to feed us all. For those of us who have enough to eat, we remember those in our community who struggle to meet their everyday needs.
