Palm Crosses for Palm Sunday. They trimmed, wove and created palm crosses from the leaves of palm trees. It takes a steady hand and clever fingers to spin a cross. This group put together dozens!

Pouring and Painting the Paschal Candle. The lighting of the Paschal candle at the Easter Vigil on the Saturday evening before Easter is one of the most solemn moments of the service. A new Paschal candle is blessed and lit every year at Easter, and is used throughout the Easter season.
Pouring the candle is a difficult and messy job. When the work was done, especially after retired art teacher Bob Schultz applied his special artistic touches, the candle became a beautiful symbol of the light of Christ.

Easter Sunday was coming, and everyone was busy preparing for the big day. See how creative hands were put to good use.
