On Sunday, May 6, 2007, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church celebrated the couples in our congregation who have been married for between 54 & 58 years with a Wedding Anniversary Milestone. The milestone will be remembered in the gathered congregation with a hand crafted tree certificate bearing the names of the couples. It will be remembered at home with a smaller version of the tree certificate, personalized for each couple. It will also be remembered by new shrubbery to be planted in their honor on the west side of our building, after the bridge construction is completed.
After the service, sit down lunch for the couples and their family members was served with help from some of the youth of St. Mark’s.
