Welcome to Our New Music Director
Jungwha Kim has started her new responsibilities with St. Mark's, as director of music and organist. She performed at her first Sunday services on May 8, 2011.
The service began with a prelude performed on the organ - the fourth movement, Adagio, of Louis Vierne's Third Symphony. She led the choir in Hassler's O Sing Unto the Lord, during Communion. At the conclusion of the service, while the bell choir played from the balcony, she greeted the congregation at the door.
The following Sunday, the congregation celebrated Jungwha's arrival with a reception in Fellowship Hall. With good food and time to gather and talk, Jungwha was introduced to the particular form of Lutheran hospitality, practiced at St. Mark's.
