All the Languages of the Good News - 2006

On Sunday February 5th, St. Mark’s gave out the “All the Languages of the Good News” milestone to those children in kindergarten here at St. Mark’s. Makensi Doebler, Benjamin Haussmann, Alex Lehman, James Newcomer, Dawson Owen. Cody Shimp, Kameera Smith and Stefan Weber were the recipients of the milestone.

Some of the children and their families enjoyed a tasty lunch in Fellowship Hall. During the event, the kids got to decorate their own bags and Pastor Elkin helped them “discover” the contents: an icon of Jesus as “The Good Shepherd,” a CD of Christian music and several books.

This milestone is a reminder that the St. Mark’s congregation is a huge part of the Passing on Faith ministry. The bags may be used as a tool for nurturing faith in the home.
