St. Mark's Moms and Daughters Participate in The Revolve Tour 2006

The Revolve Tour 2006The Revolve Tour 2006Sara Jones, Paige Fortin, Christina Comini and Mariah Mahserjian-Smith, along with their mothers, attended the two-day convention in the City of Brotherly Love on November 3 & 4, 2006.

Performers such as Natalie Grant, Tammy Trent, Zoë Girls and KJ-52 provided contemporary entertainment as well as personal stories of how Jesus is active in their lives and advice and encouragement on maintaining their faith in today’s world: schedules, fashion, dating and more.

The Revolve Tour 2006They walked around part of the Temple University campus and heard the story of Hattie and her 57¢ that started the building fund for a church “big enough” to have room to admit everyone who wanted to attend—which still stands on campus. Devotions were shared on Friday evening. And, of course, being teen-aged girls, there was some shopping and giggling - lots of giggling!

All in all, it was a great group experience for all of them. There were some wonderful mother/ daughter moments; including being among 10,000 people singing “Jesus Loves Me.” It was so simple, and so big, and so moving.

On the drive home, the girls were already talking about returning next year. We hope to get enough interest from community churches to take a bus.
