Gabriella, Abbigail and Owen receive biblesFirst Communion Celebrated

Third Grader Bible Milestone

First Communion was received on Sunday of Christ the King, November 24, by Gabriella Gregory, Abbigail Robertson and Owen Gair. They received communion with their families, and then were recognized at the end of the service, and given a certificate.

They took this step after three Sunday sessions of instruction with Pastor Elkin and Bernadette Jones, where they learned that there is, indeed, a place for them at the Lord’s table.

The children greeted the congregation after the service.

They and their families joined in the luncheon immediately following the service. At that time, Pastor Elkin sat down with the children to explore their Bibles and see what messages relatives and friends had written or favorite passages they had highlighted in the Books.
