Tweens with Lillian Skeeby

Tweens Day

Learning about service - and having fun too!

Tweens working in the yardThis summer's Tweens' Day was on Wednesday July 17. Five adults (Pastor, Lou, Kirk, Michele and Devin) and five "tweeners" (Dawson, Sadie, Taylor, Hannah and Dylan) met and proceeded to Lillian Skeeby's home to accomplish some yard work. We were very productive despite the heat so we split up into two groups, with Pastor and two students returning to St. Mark's to mulch in the courtyard.

We were able to finish both projects by noon in time to join Lunch 'n Fellowship and then Pastor, Michele and the kids watched the movie "Up" with a discussion afterwards led by Pastor.

We had a great day with our service projects, food, followed up with some fun and relaxation.

We would like to thank Lillian (and her cute little doggie "Pickles") for allowing us to donate our time at her house!
