New Catechetical Students Greeted
Six young members of St. Mark's have begun catechetical classes.
On Sunday, September 28, the congregation greeted and encouraged the students, who will affirm their baptism through catechetical study. The new catechetical students undertook the milestone of, "Signing with the Cross." During the ceremony, the students received the sign of the cross on their forehead, ears, eyes, lips, heart, shoulders, hands and feet so that they may know the Lord and the power of his resurrection.
The new students and their mentors are:
- Owen Gair, son of Ed & Brenda Gair; Devin Owen, mentor
- Gabriella Gregory, daughter of Andrea & Tracy Gregory; Michele Owen, mentor
- Elizabeth Haussmann, daughter of Drew & Vicki Haussmann; Cindy Huff, mentor
- Ashton Ott, son of Beth Miller & Rob Ott; Gregg Dancho, mentor
- Amalie Robertson, daughter of Jennifer & Rick Robertson; Vicki Haussmann, mentor
- Jonah Schreckengast, son of Laura & Ken Schreckengast; Declan Jones, mentor
This year's class joins second year students, Sean Jenson, son of Mike and Pam Jensen, Harold Hershberger mentor and Dylan Ott, son of Beth Miller and Bob Ott, Bob Jones as mentor.
