CROP Walk 2025

CROP Walk 2025

The annual walk to fight hunger, the CROP Hunger Walk, took place October 12, 2025 beginning at St. Mark's. Five of our members walked in the event.

It was a beautiful afternoon, with amazing company; Pastor Vasey, Karen Mariano, Matt & Wanda Fortin, Dan Simmons from St. James Lutheran Church in Rauchtown and Brenda Gair. We were especially grateful to have Barb Thomas join us and make the entire three miles! With the support and generosity of our congregations, we raised $1,157.00; $290.00 will support local food banks and $867.00 national and international programs.

Last year, CROP Walk raised $10,626.06, and over the years the county's CROP Walks have collectively raised over a million dollars to fight hunger. This year's proceeds have not yet been tallied, but our team met its goal.
