Baptism Milestone
- Easter Vigil, 2009
The highlight of the year is the Easter Vigil on the Saturday evening before Easter. In 2009, St. Mark's welcomed two men in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. The service, which took place by candlelight, was probably the most dramatic and the most colorful service of 2009.
Matthew Wellen and Kevin DeSeau were baptized during the service. Matthew, sponsored by Matt Fortin and Kevin, sponsored by Rick Robertson, prepared for baptism by participating in the Way since September.
After the service concluded, the entire congregation processed to Fellowship Hall for the blessing of the baskets for the continuing feast. Cake, cookies and mini-sandwiches offered a satisfying conclusion to a delightful evening.
